Houzz has announced some updates that can potentially have a major effect on your Houzz account. We've outlined the information you need to know in order to keep your Houzz account up and running.
Update Feed with 'Country of Origin'
As of July 25, 2016, "Country of Origin" is now a required field in all Houzz feeds. According to Houzz, the "Country of Origin" is the country in which your products were manufactured. To update your feed, you need to enter the 2-letter code of the country where the product is manufactured. It is important to note that this may not be the same as the country from where the product is shipped.
Houzz has provided step-by-step instructions on how to manually update your feed here. If you are using a feed service, such as GoDataFeed, simply enter your product's country of origin in the feed template.
Submit Proof of Insurance
As part of the Houzz seller agreement, merchants are required to carry insurance that cover liabilities for selling in the Houzz platform. Houzz has announced that it needs all merchants' proof of insurance emailed to insurance@houzz.com. The subject line should read "Proof of insurance for [insert your seller name here]".
In order to avoid any disruptions in your Houzz account, please address these updates immediately. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the GoDataFeed team -- we are here to help!
